Beginning in late August, ¹úÃñ²ÊƱ’s Security Services department will be introducing a vehicle registration process on ¹úÃñ²ÊƱ’s Agricultural ÌýCampus. There is no cost to register a vehicle and once registered, the vehicle owner will be provided with a permit for display.Ìý This permit will be required to park anywhere on the Agricultural Campus and can also be used by Agricultural Campus students, staff and faculty when visiting any of the Halifax campuses.
Why now?
This registration process and permit display will enable Security Services to determine who is actually parking on campus.Ìý Currently, Security Services has no way of communicating with the owners of vehicles in the case of emergencies, damages to vehicles, or situations where vehicles have to be relocated (eg snow removal). Individuals who work and park at the Agricultural Campus but are not students or employees of ¹úÃñ²ÊƱ will also be provided with an opportunity to register their vehicles, free of charge – details to follow.
Next steps
Details about how the process will work and when registration permits will be issued will be identified and shared over the summer.Ìý If you have any questions, please contact parking@dal.ca .
