The Faculty of Agriculture has had a Concept Paper for a new Honours program for the B.Sc.(Agr.) approved by the Senate academic programs subcommittee.
The next step is developing a full proposal to modify the core for the B.Sc.(Agr.) majors and create the curriculum for the Honours program.
Each department is working on what their majors and Honours programs would look like, with the goal of having the full proposal ready to submit for Senate approval sometime this summer.
Adding an Honours Program to our degree will help make us competitive with other agricultural programs. It will also help our students with the admission process for graduate school.
