As part of the exterior renovation of the Marion McCain building, there will be changes to University Avenue from February until September 2025.
The work is moving to the front of the building which means the existing sidewalk and bike lane will be closed. There will be a temporary sidewalk created for pedestrians, and the roadway will become a shared听 bicycle/vehicle lane.
The main entrance to the building will remain open but the accessible entrance will move to LeMarchant Street.
The west bound traffic lane of University Avenue will be much narrower during this time, so all deliveries will have to take place on the neighboring cross streets of LeMarchant and Seymour Streets.
HRM has provided all necessary permits for this work, and we thank you for your understanding during this time.
