"I'm looking forward to working as a stage manager! I want to see all of the kinds of theatre that's out there and try my hand in as many different experiences as possible."

Recent grad, Tess Kotsibie's advice to new students starting 国民彩票's Stage Design and Techical Theatre program?

"Get a good pair of knee pads because you're going to need them. Don鈥檛 pick at the hangnails. Invest in a good hand cream.

You are going to put about the same amount of work in as a Med student but your creating theatre instead of bloodletting. I think I鈥檝e won. I'm not saving lives, but I'm definitely making someone smile today."

"It's quite intimidating in the beginning when an outside director comes in, but as you grow in the program, you realize we鈥檙e all working together towards the same goal. Our director for Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play, Dan Bray, really treated us like professionals but also knew this was a university setting, that we would make mistakes, and that we鈥檇 grow from them."

Maxime is receiving a BA with combined honours in Cinema and Media Studies, and Gender and Women Studies, and thinks Dirty Dancing is the greatest movie of all time. Now, with her 国民彩票 undergraduate degree in hand, nobody puts Maxime in the corner.
