Admission Requirements
Please Note:ÌýApplicants for all graduate Nursing programs :
Master of Science in Nursing
Applicants to the Master of Science in Nursing (MScN) program must meet the following criteria. Meeting minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission.
- Be licenced to practice as a Registered Nurse (active practitioner) in a Canadian province or foreign country
- Have completed a bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a minimum "A-" standing (3.7 grade point average). ÌýWhile the admissions process is competitive, applicants with a GPA less than 3.7 are still encouraged to apply as we consider all aspects of the application equally.Ìý
- Have completed undergraduate-level courses in research and statisticsÌý
- Provide aÌýÌý(PDF - 93 KB)ÌýÌý(Word -30KB)
- Provide a resume and statement of intent/interest
- Provide three letters of reference (one from current employer, two from former faculty)
- Be interviewed by the Associate Director, Graduate Program, School of Nursing
ApplicantsÌýare not required to have nursing experience prior to application.
The deadline for submission of complete applications is February 1

Deadline for receipt of the complete application package for September admission to all graduate nursing programs (MN,ÌýMScN,ÌýPhDÌýNursing):ÌýFebruary 1
Deadline for receipt of the complete application package for January admission to Master of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner; Master of Nursing, Advanced Practice, Mental Health and Addictions; and Master of Nursing Professional:ÌýSeptember 1
