POSITION(S): Teaching Assistants ERTH 3001 (TA90 x 2)
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences
PAY RATE: According to CUPE Agreement Local 3912
WORK ASSIGNMENT: Each position is for 90 hours of work. Duties are varied and will include organizing field gear, demonstrating good field practices in the field, marking assignments and note books in the evenings, and assisting the course instructors with teaching and safety related duties. Field Schools starts on August 18, 2025 and ends on August 31, 2025.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Applicants should be graduate students. Previous experience as a teaching assistant and attendance at a field school are essential requirements. First-aid training is required, and a valid driver license is an asset.

All offers of employment as a part-time academic are conditional upon sufficient student enrolment in the course and approval by the University.
Non-student, TA assignments are limited to no more than six hundred and fifty hours per term. For clarity, this means TAs cannot work in excess of five (5) TA130 contracts.
If a TA has accepted six hundred and fifty contract hours in a term, they are not able to accept any additional TA, marker or demonstrator hours.
